Porsche finally unveiled the Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo at the Geneva Motor Show 2017. The German company joined the shooting brake market with this model.
The Porsche Panamera Sport was developed from the concept car revealed at the Paris Motor Show back in 2012. It is said to offer more practicality with the option of a third rear seat and extra load capacity.
According to reports, the brand-new Panamera Sport Turismo offers the audience extra usability with its rear section. Its rear section is completely redesigned.
The new Panamera also features a higher roofline which makes for easier entry and exit. All in all, the vehicle claims a 520-liter storage capacity.
That is 425 liters for the E-Hybrid models. This is 20 liters more than the Panamera saloon.
But that is not all, when the rear seats are folded flat, the Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo gains 50 more liters in capacity. That is a lot of space.
As for it's bodystyle, the Sport Turismo will be available with the similar powertrain options as the standard Panamera sedan. For those who are wondering, that can only mean that there will be an entry-level Panamera 4 Sport Turismo.
The Panamera 4 Sport Turismo will have 330 horsepower. A Panamera 4 E-Hybrid with 462 horsepower will also be available. Of course, the Panamera 4S Diesel Sport Turismo with 422 horsepower will also be in the lineup.
Lastly, the company will also offer a Panamera Turbo Sport Turismo with 550 horsepower. As for the transmission, Porsche's 8-speed PDK automatic will be used in all models.
All models are expected to launch in the United States towards the end of 2017. As for the Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo price, the base price is around $97,000.
