Ever since the announcement of the official 2018 Jeep Wrangler Pickup Truck, fans have been eagerly waiting for its release. However, something better just hit the market, and it can be bought now!
The American Expedition Vehicles (AEV) is still building its Wrangler-based Brute Double Cab. According to reports, this will be the final year AEV will build the truck. The company will only take orders until the end of March.
So for those who wants to get their hands on this absolute beast, better do it soon. It is obvious that the Brute Double Cab is not exactly like the 2018 Jeep Wrangler Pickup Truck. However, it is a customized vehicle which offers the Wrangler experience in the shell of a pickup truck.
It is important to note that one Brute Double Cab will come with a hefty price tag. The conversion starts at a whopping $41,665.
That price doesn't include the cost of the Wrangler Unlimited to be converted. However, just looking at this monstrous creation makes it seem totally worth the price.
Buyers will get an impressive kit for the money. AEV adds the composite bed and even lengthens the frame to a total of 39 inches to make it fit.
In addition, the company also adds a suspension lift, 35-inch tires, a Warn winch, off-road lights, skid plates. Even the engine will get replaced.
The 3.6-liter V6 engine will be replaced with a 5.7- or 6.4-liter Hemi V8, as long as the customer requested. This will also come with an additional price.
For those who think paying $42,000 and some extra is a bit much for the Brute Double Cab, the 2018 Jeep Wrangler Pickup Truck is always an option. It is already in production and will be released next year.
The summary for the Brute Double Cab is also on American Expedition Vehicle's website. It reads: "THE ULTIMATE OVERLANDER - Drawing inspiration from the Land Rover Defender 130, the Brute Double Cab was designed specifically for the expanding overland travel market. With seating for five and expanded cargo carrying capabilities, it makes for an ideal camping platform, whether you are spending a few weeks in the Atacama desert or a weekend trip with the family."
