Rolls-Royce has released photos of its 2014 Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe Waterspeed with a unique exterior finish.
Photos released by the automaker shows a blue exterior finish that extends to the engine, a first for Rolls-Royce.
The finish is called "Maggiore Blue" according to the automaker.
Rolls-Royce was inspired by the color of a Rolls-Royce-powered Bluebird K3 boat, which set a world-speed record back in 1937.
The boat was piloted by Sir Malcolm Campbell.
Other features include eleven-spoke wheels, a two-tone steering wheel, and interior trim, according to Rolls-Royce.
The vehicle also pays tribute to "remarkable acts of British daring and endeavor," the company said in a statement on its website.
At least nine layers of paint are required for the exterior finish.
The automaker has not made any performance upgrades however.
The Waterspeed Collection vehicles are all equipped with a 6.75-liter V12 engine, according to Rolls-Royce. The engine is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Pricing and the vehicle's launch date have not been announced by the automaker yet.
