Great news, the next generation Jeep Wrangler Unlimited has been leaked on an online community for Jeep fans. At first glance of the leaked images, it looks like there are only little changes between the current generation and the new, upcoming model.
With that in mind, there are still a few noticeable changes that are worth mentioning. For starters, it is great to see that the Wrangler still uses a solid frame with a detachable roof and doors. This is definitely great news for die-hard Jeep fans.
Another thing that pops out is that there is a vent behind the front fenders of the 2018 Jeep Wrangler. This is probably strategically placed there to assist aerodynamics.
It is also important to note that those fenders in the leaked photos are a bit different from the JK. There are also horizontal LED daytime running lights based on the previous spy shots.
On the photos, the 2018 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited looks a lot similar to the JK with its blocky profile. On another note, the front bumper has also been improved. It now has the foglights rearranged from the center to the edges.
The Jeep's seven-slat grille rollovers are still there, but it now looks more upright than it was in the past. Looking upwards, the top inclines backward in a way comparable to that of the Jeep Shortcut concept.
For those who do not remember, the Jeep Shortcut concept debuted at last year's Jeep Easter Safari. The headlights of the 2018 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited also intrude slightly into the external slats of the grille similar to that Shortcut concept.
The door handles are also slightly different. And the windscreen looks more upright. The windscreen also includes different hinges for folding it down.
At the back, fans can see the taillights and a side-hinged tailgate with hinges on the opposite side. As of the moment, Fiat Chrysler have not released a statement regarding the leaked photos.
The 2018 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited is expected to debut at the Los Angeles Motor show in November. See leaked photos here. Keep checking back on Auto World News for more updates.
