Winning the Car Performance Award wasn't enough for the 2017 Audi R8 V10. The guys at ABT tuned up this beauty and gave it probably one of the most tasteful tuning available for R8s. But it's better you judge them.
ABT has been known to be synonymous with VW Group products. And they pretty have done an awesome work on the R8 V10 by pumping its 5.2-litre FSI V10 to 621bhp, adding new suspensions, and of course shedding some of that weight.

Exterior. The conversion from the standard R8, but you wouldn't necessarily call it "standard," comprises a full body kit, larger air intakes, and wheels. There are new bumpers on both ends, carbon fiber front lip, and front, side, and rear blades giving the R8 a subtle-yet-noticeably menacing, though aggressive, facelift. Oh, and it comes with mirror covers, too.
To complete the ABT-tuned 2017 Audi R8 V10 exterior upgrades are new sets of wheels. Yes, you can choose from either a 19-inch or 20-inch ABT High-Performance ER-F wheels. The 19-inch has a "black magic" finish, while the 20-inch is in "anodized black."
Engine. Promising improved handling and decreasing the ABT-tuned 2017 Audi R8 V10's center of gravity, ABT added new coil over suspensions, sports stabilizers on the front and rear axles, and springs. The ABT-tuned 2017 Audi R8 V10 now packs a significant power boost thanks to the optimized airflow and a new stainless steel exhaust system, with carbon double tailpipe trims, according to CarScoops.
The R8's 5.2-liter naturally aspirated V10 engine now produces a total output of 621 horses. ABT claims that a 0-100km/h run is only 3.5 seconds with a top speed of 318 km/h. Also, a 50kg weight drop adds to this epic performance. However, ABT did not divulge which part of the vehicle had to be thrown out.
Interior. ABT provided its own touch with an exclusive entrance lighting for whoever opens the door. This blends with the new leather/Alcantara upholstery and the carbon fiber trims. Also, there are a new set of special floor mats.
So, for those who can't live with factory looks alone, better head out to the 2017 Geneva Motor Show and check out for yourself the latest addition to beefed up and tuned up car lineup. Among them of course, is the 2017 Audi R8 V10. Don't forget to thank the guys at ABT for their take on this sports car.
