Three years after the premiere of "Attack on Titan," fans thought that the second installment was just right around the corner. Among the details that keep pouring in is one that is not so promising for Eren Jaeger. Meanwhile, illustrations tease fans of the upcoming second season release.
For the protagonist of the anime, wielding a new power to protect humanity has its downsides. Reports pose the question of who will end up controlling who and the possibility of Eren losing control of his identity to the urges of bloodlust is huge.
In the official promotional video for the anime series' second season, an ominous horde of Titans is shown approaching humanity's second outermost layer of protection, Wall Rose. These Titans come with the promise of devastating destruction and bloodbath. The question of the wall's ability to hold up will be answered in this season as well.
Moreover, questions left hanging in the first season will finally be clarified in this season. There are also other mysteries related to the wall that will be shed light on. These and the fact that it took fans a long wait before seeing the follow-up to the hit anime series make the excitement all the more intense.
Meanwhile, Comic Book released reports that Newtype Magazine published illustrations from season two will keep the fans doubly excited but satisfied in the meantime. In the latter's recent issue, characters Captain Levi, Mikasa, and Eren served as the background to the piece from an interview with the series director and chief director for the anime. The characters are in dramatic poses that reveal more of their characters and the updates since season one.
The official promotional video for "Attack of Titan" season 2 provides a preview of the destructive horde of Titans breaching Wall Rose and bringing nothing but devastation and death in their path. But even though humanity's struggle for survival may seem bleak, they will keep on fighting, because giving up means admitting defeat. The trailer also teases that the secret of the walls, along with other mysteries left hanging in the first season, will finally be revealed.
The anime is an adaptation of Hajime Isayama's franchise that revolves around the story of survival delivered through bloody and gritty action scenes. "Attack on Titan" season 2 is expected on April 1, Saturday, to which fans are counting down to.
