To recall, Cadillac ATS sedan and coupe had faced a tough time regarding sales last summer. The company even resulted to setting up promotional offers such as free performance driving school to boost an increase for the ATS-V. The BMW M3 and Audi A4 competitor saw marking down prices by up to $20,000.
For a 2016 model, the Cadillac ATS-V sedan starts things off with a price of $61,000 and its coupe for $63,000. The price is evidently less low than the BMW 3 series and Audi A4. But, according to Car Buzz, these rates are based on MSRP. Therefore, prices will differ once put out on the real market.
Today, Cadillac ATS-V and BMW M3s and M4s prices were compared. Surprisingly, Cadillac has the most marked down compared to its counterparts. The BMW M3s and M4s are now priced around $66,000 for an M4, while $68,000 for an M3. The Cadillac ATS-V are now priced for an incredible price of around $55,000, while its coupe for $58,000. These numbers only prove that Cadillac is selling the ATS-V with $20,000 discounts.
According to the same source, it is assumed that Cadillac is currently getting rid of old 2016 models in their list of inventory to bring in new models for 2017. This depreciation is alleged to be the result of the latest failure of the Cadillac 2nd Gen CTS-V.
"We couldn't understand why Cadillac was suddenly offering a car with a 464 hp twin-turbo V6 for around the same price that it used to sell a larger car with a 556 hp supercharged V8." The source also added, "We think that the ATS-V is a pretty good car, but if we had the choice on the used market, we believe that the more powerful CTS-V would be the better purchase."
