Mass Effect Andromeda is well known for its rich world and a huge variety of likable characters. But, other aspects of the game, much like its sidequests could end up such busywork. Akin to the Witcher series, each sidequest involves a lot of moral ambiguity which makes every player second guess each decision. Thus, Game Devs want to incorporate such strategies to the upcoming Mass Effect Andromeda.
According to PlayStation Lifestyle, Game Producer Fabrice Condominas expressed how the game will adapt the Witcher series sidequests. In an interview with PC Gamers, Condominas stated "We are approaching the completionist aspect very differently because we've done and learned a lot from Inquisition. But we've also observed what other games have been doing, like The Witcher. And it was [crucial] for us that the quantity of scope doesn't downgrade the quality of whatever you are doing there."
In summary, the Mass Effect Andromeda sidequests will take on a different approach from the Witcher series sidequests. Condominas also pointed out that the sidequests do not need a major tie-in to the whole narrative meaning or impact to the game which basically what the Witcher series has pulled off.
In other news, AWN reported the changes in Mass Effect Andromeda dialogue system. The game will modify the conversation options to agreeing and disagreeing to make things fascinating. It also aims to move away from the old regime which is the part of Shepard's characters. Creative Director, Mac Walters has discussed his sentiments regarding the changes, and to see the full report, click here.
