Little by little we are getting to know the new car that will be presented at the 2017 Detroit Motor Show, an event that will take place in January and that is positioned as the first great event of the year for the automotive industry. One of the cars that will debut is the 2017 Chevrolet Traverse.
The 2017 Chevrolet Traverse gets a dark sophisticated teaser as it prepares for its debut at the 2017 Detroit Auto Show. The 2017 Chevrolet Traverse ushers in a new generation after having remained virtually unchanged since its introduction in 2008. This vehicle is positioned, both by size and price, in the middle range of the five SUV models that Chevrolet has in their lineup.
The Chevrolet SUV range are consists of five cars, starting with the Chevrolet Trax, followed by the Chevrolet Equinox, continuing the aforementioned with the Traverse and culminating in the colossal with Chevrolet Tahoe and its long variant wheelbase, the Chevrolet Suburban, according to MotorAuthority. Of these five vehicles, the 2017 Chevrolet Traverse was so far the most 'discreet.'
And it seems that with the new 2017 Chevrolet Traverse the brand has not wanted to risk giving the model a more robust appearance, placing aesthetics over more SUV-like qualities. At least that is what the teaser image suggests, which is the first time that Chevrolet shared the 2017 Chevrolet Traverse to the world.
In this snapshot, one can see some exterior lines almost identical to those of the current Traverse. The only appreciable difference is the presence of sharper optical groups and a rack that is located in a more delayed position. However, given that the image reveals little, do not expect these to be the only changes.
Chevy isn't saying much, there will be something called "D-Optic" headlights that provide a "natural daylight effect," as reported by Cnet. The 2017 Chevrolet Traverse's platform will now be General Motors Company’s C1XX design already found in the Cadillac XT5 and GMC Acadia.
We'll just have to wait and see in a few weeks. Meanwhile, check out the 2017 Chevrolet Traverse here.
