Hyundai has announced that its redesigned 2015 Hyundai Sonata sedan will be sold for a base price of $21,960, including an $810 shipping fee, once it goes on sale later this month.
The new price reflects a $300 price cut compared to the current 2014 model.
The top-of-the-line 2015 Hyundai Sonata Sport 2.0T has been listed for a base price of $29,385, including shipping, according to a company press release.
Standard equipment found on the base model includes:
-2015 Sonata SE includes seven airbags
-LED daytime running lights
-16-inch alloy wheels
-rear lip spoiler
Standard equipment on the Sonata Sport 2.0T includes:
-a sport shift knob
-18-inch alloy wheels
-HID xenon headlights
-a sport-tuned suspension
-paddle shifters
-leather-wrapped steering wheel
Hyundai's Ultimate package, available for the Sonata Sport 2.0T, adds a number of items, like a smart cruise control, an Infinity premium audio system with 10 speakers, panoramic sunroof, rear parking assistance system, and heated rear seats.
The package is available for $4,950, according to the automaker.
The Sonata competes with a number of vehicles, including the 2014 Ford Fusion, Honda Accord, and Nissan Altima, among others.
Interested customers can expect the 2015 Sonata to reach dealerships by the end of May.
