Apple has announced its new Mac Pro will be available for pre-order tomorrow, Dec. 19, according to a company press release.
The new device comes with features like the newest Intel Xeon processors, PCIe-based flash storage, dual workstation-class GPUs, and ECC memory.
Pricing and Specs:
The Mac Pro is made available with a 3.7 GHz quad-core Intel Xeon E5 processor and Turbo Boost speeds of up to approximately 3.9 GHz, dual AMD FirePro D300 GPUs with 2GB of VRAM each, 12GB of memory, and 256GB of PCIe-based flash storage starting at $2,999, according to Apple.
The second option with a 3.5 GHz 6-core Intel Xeon E5 processor and Turbo Boost speeds up to 3.9 GHz, dual AMD FirePro D500 GPUs with 3GB of VRAM each, 16GB of memory, and 256GB of PCIe-based flash storage is sold for a base price of $3,999.
Configure-to-order options listed by Apple includes: faster 8-core or 12-core Intel Xeon E5 processors, AMD FirePro D700 GPUs with 6GB of VRAM, up to 64GB of memory, according to the company press release.
Availability
Apple's newest device was designed and will be assembled in the U.S.
The device will be available on the Apple store and will also be made available at select retail stores, Apple Authorized Resellers.
