The 2018 Spyker C8 Preliator Spyder is another mark of Spyker's bespoke models. This car is a successful product of collaboration between Spyder and Koenigsegg. According to Chief Christian von Koenigsegg, it was a great pleasure for their company to work with Spyker's exceptonal creations that has maintained its luxurious and high-performance nature.
Spyker has employed a Koenigsegg-built 5.0-liter V8 engine to the C8 Preliator Spyder. The rest of the exterior of the all-new 2018 Spyker C8 Preliator Spyder is similar to C8 Preliator Coupe.
The C8 Preliator Spyker has a bar chopped roof and rollover bars. A semi-automatic hydraulic-operated/electric canvas soft-top is secured by one central latch that folds completely within the body of the car that is hidden by an aluminum tonneau with two buttresses upholstered in quilted Latino leather. The wheels come in a 19-inch alloy with a couple of patterns and finishes. The company did add a new color, an attractive Ascot Bronze which is part of the 34 standard shades.
This 2018 Spyker C8 Preliator Spyder offers 15 standard colors for the interior's leather that can satisfy the costumer's perspective needs and personalization. It also has a premium sound system, Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, Digital DAB+radio, gesture controlled head-up display, and much more.
One of the things that make the Spyder different from other supercars is that its engine is equipped with a Koenigsegg-built 5.0-liter V8 engine which is also distinct from the car's previous model that comes with a supercharged 4.2-liter Audi engine. The new engine is expected to produce 600 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque that will get its power through a manual six-speed transmission.
According to the CEO of the Spyker, the company is producing over 100 examples after it was released and launched at the 87th International Car Show in Geneva just last March this year. The car is cost $430,000 and is now available this summer.
