"Rick and Morty" Season 3 came back with a bang, in a way. Viewers were surprised when Adult Swim decided to show the real deal, Episode 1 of the series, on April 1 (Saturday night) after what many thought of as an April Fool's Day prank.
After the last airing of Season 2 back in 2015 and missing out on then-schedule air date in 2016, finally "Rick and Morty" Season 3 Episode 1 made its official debut. But don't get too excited just yet.

If you are one of those who missed out on the show, the network has recently confirmed that the long-anticipated Season 3 premiere "The Rickshank Redemption" will re-air every single night for this week on Adult Swim at 10 pm ET. So, don't forget to catch that one.
Now, because of a series of delays and contentions between its co-creator and fans and the perfect timing (April Fool's Day), it took some time for many of the viewers to realize that the show was the real deal. However, "Rick and Morty" Season 3 Episode 2 won't be airing any time soon.
The network has confirmed that the series will resume this summer. But Adult Swim warned its viewers to wait until after the credits of "Rick and Morty" Season 3 Episode 1 for there will be a scene teasing what's in store for the highly anticipated long overdue season.
Now for some bit of spoilers. Season 3 Episode 1 stitched and closed up some of the cliffhangers of last season. Imagine that in just 30 minutes, the episode was able to deliver Rick overturning the Federation, simply by changing the value of their currency, defeating the Council of Ricks (pretty cool, huh?), and then Jerry be gone. Rick finally got rid of Beth's husband.
But what is more interesting with Season 3 Episode 1 is that this particular episode paved the way for other possibilities and where the show is actually headed. And that is something many are looking forward to, after 18 months of being overdue.
Catch "Rick and Morty" Season 3 this summer as we await their next adventures. So, what do you think of their comeback episode?
