The 2016 Ford Mustang GT started off as a powerful V8 car, but it does not hold a candle to its most recent custom upgrade. Thanks to a Roush Performance Kit, the 5.0-liter coupe now produces 727 horsepower and 610 pound-feet of torque. To match the beast within, it has been dressed with bold American colors inside and out.
After fitting the car with the supercharger kit, which increases performance by about 300 horsepower and 210 pound-feet of torque over a regular 2016 Ford Mustang GT, it went to Carlex Design to get dressed up. The owner preferred the car to scream power with its design, so they went with red and white.
The façade of the Mustang sports a two-tone variation with car's logo having the American flag treatment. Inside is pretty much the same except that everything is bolder; the seats, dashboard, and door panels are dressed in red leather upholstery with white details and tubular pattern.
The red and white color scheme can be seen everywhere else - the gear stick, floor mats, and even the wheel. However, the leather-clad wheel is more of black and white with only a touch of red.
Carlex Design did a good job of making the regular old 2016 Ford Mustang anything but subtle. The Roush aero elements and the hood snout makes it stand out visually, while the Roush Performance kit should give it more cred when it is driving.
It comes with a price, though. The Roush parts alone are worth $7,799. It is unknown how much Carlex Design charged the client for overhauling the Mustang, but that should be pricey as well.
Meanwhile, the car model will be refreshed soon with the 2018 version. The 2018 Ford Mustang GT will still sport a 5.0-liter V8 and the base models will have turbocharged 2.3-liter inline-4. It will come with a new engine starter and a revamped design. Release date and performance figures have yet to be announced.
