Unfortunately, Ford faces incredible pressure because of Ford F-250 recall in the entire US and Canada. This is brought about by the possibility that it can still roll even on parks. This has affected 2017 models and built in specific Ford plant in the US.
The Ford F-250 in question are those built in Louisville, Kentucky truck plant and those that are 6.2-liter gasoline engines. The total number of F-250s to be recalled has reached 52,600 sold in the United States and Canada. However, there were still no reported accidents or injuries related to the recent finding.
Ford also announced that a recall of about 211,000 vehicles in North America may also be possible because of potentially faulty door latches. Unfortunately, the recall issue does not end there. Plans of recalling 230,000 vehicles may also commence, this time for fire risk in the engine compartment.

Ford, though considered as the second largest US automaker is no stranger to recalls. It suffered great loss quite recently as it recalled a total of 2.4 million vehicles just last year and over four million back in 2014 because of door latch issues done in six separate announcements.
It is reported that dealers will be replacing the parts for free, however, does not have the replacement parts yet. Ford apparently will be notifying affected owners once the parts are already made available. A total of 4,143 affected vehicles were sold in Canada and the rest of over 45,000 were sold in the US.
Ford recently released reports stating that drivers should use the parking brake to make sure that the parked trucks do not move. This doesn't make affected owners feel any better as the risk is always there. It is best to have the Ford F-250 be immediately checked. Since the parts are still not available, it is strongly advised not to use the truck for any purpose just yet.
