Supergirl has finally arrived on The CW network. With this great news comes another one, the long awaited The Flash-Supergirl crossover is finally happening.
In fact, it was reported by Collider that Supergirl has more opportunities now for episode crossovers with the "Arrowverse." This comes as a delightful news the fanbase.
Of course, none of these would be happening if it wasn't for the incredible on-screen chemistry between Melissa Benoist and Grant Gustin. But that's not all: the much-awaited crossover has more twists to it.
According to reports, the upcoming crossover between Supergirl and The Flash will be a musical episode. This has been confirmed by the teaser trailer released by the network.
The episode, titled "Duet", will feature a number of original compositions. These have been kept under wraps until now.
However, fans are hopeful to see multiple sneak peek previews for the episode as Tuesday slowly rolls in. These previews just might include some of the best-kept compositions.
The episode "Duet" will be a unique one. It also stars former Glee cast member Darren Criss. Criss will arrive as the Villain of the Week named the Music Meister.
Seeing as Benoist and Gustin are Glee alumni themselves, this makes for a mini Glee reunion for the fans. In the episode, Benoist and Gustin will find their alter egos without their powers when they are thrust into a musical world.
In the musical world, they must follow the singing and dancing script in able to stay alive. It will be interesting to see the series in a musical episode.
Fellow The Flash stars Carlos Valdes, Candice Patton, and Jesse L. Martin will also be in the episode. DC's Legend of Tomorrow's Victor Garber will also be there. The synopsis for the episode reads:
Mon-El and Hank Henshaw arrive carrying a comatose Supergirl, who was attacked by the Music Meister; when the Music Meister attacks Barry, both he and Supergirl wake up in an alternate reality that they have to sing and dance their way out of.
