The Microsoft Surface Pro 5 and new models of iPad Pro are both highly anticipated tablets this year. We have gathered here the latest reports on the potential release date of the two devices. It seems that they are both coming out sooner next month.
Microsoft Surface Pro 5 speculations point to an April release date. Following our previous report on this April release theory, a huge promo from Microsoft on its predecessor, Microsoft Surface Pro 4, seems to strengthen the speculations.
Apparently, Microsoft has dropped down the prices of Microsoft Surface Pro 4 on its online store. The predecessor can now be bought with a $200 discount. This appears to be the biggest discount the company is offering.
The Surface Pro 4 i5 4GB RAM, 128GB variant now has a $799 price tag when it usually carries a $999 tag. The bigger storage variant, i7 16GB RAM, 256GB now costs $1,499 instead of the usual $1,699.
Now that the Redmond-based tech giant has hugely dropped the prices of the current Surface Pro, speculations grow stronger that the successor will most likely come out soon. It seems that the company is already pushing to deplete the inventory for the predecessor to make space for the upcoming Microsoft Surface Pro 5.

Meanwhile, three new iPad models are now speculated to come out on April 4. A new report from Steve Sande of Apple World Today predicts that Apple will most likely hold a special event on April 4 to launch the new iPad models.
Apparently, the 12.9-inch iPad Pro model is out of stock from the Apple store and its resellers. This zero inventory seems to hint on a possible launch of its successor. Speculations say the Cupertino-based company might be cooking up something to introduce the new model soon.
According to Steve Sande, there is a significant clue on the availability dates of the iPad Pro. April 4 was listed to be the first availability date for the 12.9-inch iPad Pro. In addition, Steve Sande believes that the new iPad models are set to be launched at the Steve Jobs theater which is also expected to open early April.
If the April release date theories for the new models of iPad Pro and Microsoft Surface Pro 5 are correct, which do you think will come out first?
