Porsche is now ready to unveil its all new 2018 Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo next week at the Geneva Motor Show. This car is a wagon version of the German automobile manufacturer's flagship four-door sports sedan.
There are a few examples that help differentiate the Sport Turismo from the regular Panamera hatchback. An adaptive roof spoiler can be set in three different stages and will make up to 110 pounds of downforce over the rear axle. Above highway speeds with the roof open, the spoiler helps lessen wind noise.
Four version of the Sport Turismo will be offered, and all will feature AWD. The base car is priced at $97,250 and will feature a turbo V6 that produces 330 hp.
Next one is the E-Hybrid, which starts in at $105,050 and has a twin-turbo 2.9-liter V6. Along with its electric motor, it'll make 462 hp. The S version will cost $110,250 and makes 440 hp from its 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6, while the top of the line Turbo starts at $155,050, comes with a 4.0-liter twin turbo V8 that produces 550 hp.
The 2018 Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo has similar dimensions as the other Panamera models. It measures an 116.1-inch wheelbase and an overall length of 198.9 inches. But the wagon model comes with a unique rear design with an elongated roofline and long roof contour.
Standard features will include a digital Porsche Advanced Cockpit, Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control, rear axle steering, and driver assistance features like Porsche Traction Management, which is an active AWD system with an electronically controlled multi-plate clutch.
Performance is high. The automaker claims that the base car can accelerate from 0 to 60 in just 4.4 seconds. The Turbo is the fastest, though, hitting 60 mph in just 3.4 seconds.
The 2018 Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo will make its world debut at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show, starting from March 9 to 19. It is anticipated to go on sale this 2017 fall.
