Volkswagen Arteon is the company's flagship passenger car and is also the next-generation Volkswagen CC that exuded style during its outing. And now ahead of its official unveiling at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show, VW has teased it newest fastback sedan that is set to target those of the top end, the likes of BMW 3-Series and Mercedes-Benz C-Class.
According to the German company, they have an "avant-garde design with a high level of versatility" when producing the Arteon. In fact, this upcoming next-gen fastback sedan will be the replacement of the CC that evolved from the Passat CC.

Based on the teaser video, it comes equipped with LED headlights and daytime running lights, which most probably would come standard on the sedan. Relatively, the front-end sports a muscular version of the Passat.
Meanwhile, there seems to be a taillight split on the rear between the trunk and fender. And taking design cues from the CC, it has a sloping coupe-like rear roofline.
Further, Express UK reports that the Volkswagen Arteon will be fitted with the latest tech and features found in luxury automobiles. It will also have a spacious interior with ample head room.
Although official details and numbers pertaining to its powertrain have not been revealed as of this writing, Volkswagen Arteon's engine would likely come from the Passat but could be supercharged or modified versions.
Motor Authority notes that the US version of the Volkswagen Arteon would probably go with the CC name. But we will have to wait until the New York Auto show this April to actually find out.
Meanwhile, the next-gen VW CC is set to arrive in Australian dealerships this October. But before all that, the Volkswagen Arteon is slated to debut at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show, which will take place from March 9 to 19.
