The Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti is one of the most highly anticipated GPUs for this year. Apparently, a recent tweet has confirmed its release date.
Originally, many gamers speculated that the new GPU will launch at the Game Developers Conference 2017 on Feb. 28. In a recent report by Video Cardz, the website said that a recent tweet from NVIDIA UK's Twitter page just confirmed the release date of the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti. The tweet is a video that reads "It's almost Time" with the hashtag #UltimateGeForce.

The video shows a countdown for the GDC 2017. Below the countdown, it once again reads "IT'S ALMOST TIME," this time in all capital letters. The TI is also noticeably in boldface.
In addition, the website also noticed that the video playing in the background of the tweet is titled "GTX1080Ti_Countdown_Hero." If the title didn't already give enough hints, this very apparent file title is the last clue that shows that indeed, the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti will be available at the GDC 2017.
PC World also noticed the tweet. According to the website, they believe that NVIDIA isn't going to let AMD steal the spotlight with their new Vega graphics card and Ryzen CPU units.
It looks like the Santa Clara chip manufacturer is definitely bringing the big guns to Game Developers Conference 2017. The #UltimateGeForce hashtag is also intriguing. What does this mean? Many people believe that the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti will be spectacular but it will be a slightly cut-down version of the more powerful Pascal GPU-based Titan X.
Rumors have also been circulating that this may be a repeat of the GTX 780 Ti situation. In the past, Nvidia's high-end Ti outpunched even the then-current Titan. Does this mean that the GTX 1080 Ti will be more powerful than what was speculated? It's possible but pretty had to believe given that the Titan X is a beast of a graphics card.
We'll know for sure on Feb. 28. If the leak and all of the speculations are correct, the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti will come out before the AMD Vega. Hopefully, this strategy proves useful for the Santa Clara chipmaker.
