The battle against botters continues to worsen as the day goes by for Diablo III fans and community. Botters are taking top spots in the game's leaderboards causing a huge dismay of many loyal players. The crackdown appears to be impossible since Blizzard, the developer of the game, looks quite regarding this issue.
Even though Blizzard has expressed and warned players from using bots or cheat codes to get an advantage over others, the widespread phenomena continue. Concerned players once again raised awareness regarding this issue, and to plea Blizzard to take action. In a statement by a player named Sickened, "I urge Blizzard to please take action against the use of bots since it completely destroys the end game you have left us with. I know not everyone can be caught but it is fairly obvious who is botting when 90% of the play time on an acct is in GR73 running LTK. Competition in itself is what entertains us. And competing against bots is anything but fun. I realise botting does not impact everyone...but it does impact LB for those that wish to compete on them, which for some of us is all that's left to do after a certain point other than grinding +mainstat," he mentioned via MMO Examiner.
Players are unaffected to any forms of botting, yet the community agrees these players does not have the right to rank in the game's leaderboards. But, Blizzard seems to be silent regarding this issue.
It is understandable that banning botters from Diablo III can be such a difficult task. But, knowing that players continue to reach out to higher authorities regarding this matter sees a much unsettling presence in the game. Many have been waiting for Blizzard to take action, yet as of today, the issue remains the same. Blizzards have not commented on the issue.
