The Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor was first seen back in September of 2014. Since then, Developer Monolith Productions silently creates the title's sequel. Today, a US retailer unintentionally leaked the title's sequel without any announcement from the Developers.
Dubbed as Middle-Earth: Shadow of War is the most awaited sequel to the Middle-Earth franchise. Target leaked the game's information together with its box art, synopsis, and special edition. The retailer also listed the PS4 and Xbox One game's release date as August 22nd. Unfortunately, the PC version does not appear on the leaked list from Target's website.
Shadow of Mordor is based on the world of J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings. The game is an open world RPG well known for its Nemesis System in which it creates organic stories with the player and recurring enemies. Shadow of War, based on the leaked information will return the Nemesis System and confirms familiar characters from the Lord of the Rings books.
"Go behind enemy lines to forge your army, conquer Fortresses and dominate Mordor from within. Experience how the award-winning Nemesis System creates unique personal stories with every enemy and follower, and confront the full power of the Dark Lord Sauron and his Ringwraiths in this epic new story of Middle-Earth," the game's synopsis reads.
The game Gold Edition will cost to $99.00 which includes story expansions such as The Blade of Galadriel, The Desolation of Mordor, Slaughter Tribe Nemesis Expansion, and Outlaw Tribe Nemesis Expansion. Also, new enemies, items, weapons, and missions are included.
"The two Nemesis expansions feature "a new Orc Tribe featuring new enemies, followers, missions, abilities, weapons, Fortress, and wilderness updates, and a Mythic Gear Set." The story expansions, meanwhile, have "a new campaign, playable character, and abilities, side missions, enemies, allies, and more," said Gamespot.
