The upcoming CH-R has been revealed in the US-spec trim while gaining a unique engine for the US market. however, it retains the styling of the European model. Toyota somehow did their best to sustain the interest of both markets having two completely different take on its desired vehicle look and performance.
The 2018 Toyota CH-R to be introduced in the US will have a naturally aspirated, non-hybrid 2.0-liter I-4 engine. The engine is responsible for producing 144-horsepower and 139 pound-feet of torque which is significantly more powerful than its European counterpart. Toyota is proud to say that it only used the latest technologies which include Variable Valve Timing and Valvematic systems. These developments are geared for more fuel efficiency and smoother riding experience. Toyota is dedicated to letting drivers feel like they are in total control of the subcompact SUV with a simulated seven-speed Sequential Shiftmatic function.
the 2018 Toyota CH-R is also reported to appeal to the younger driver because of its unique design touches and other more updated features. To add to the appeal, the 2018 CH-R will come with a seven-inch touchscreen on top of the dash. It will also have Toyota's latest infotainment system complete with Aha internet radio.
