Microsoft Surface Phone is definitely making rounds online as the latest Surface tablet is about to be launched. While there is no official news on the release of Surface Pro 5, the Surface Phone is now highly talked about.
It may still be considered far in the future if this mobile device ever comes to fruition. However, some leaks actually prove that the Microsoft Surface Phone is indeed in the works and may be released, eventually. With this said, industry experts are even more excited to know more about this highly talked about device.
According to PC Advisor, there was a certain leak from WMPowerUser which somehow proves that the Surface Phone is currently in the works. There were also reports that Pegatron has already started procuring production trials on the design of the upcoming Microsoft mobile device. It is, of course, known that Pegatron is responsible for manufacturing the Surface Studio.
The Microsoft Surface Phone is also perceived to be the miniature version of Surface tablets. If that's the case, experts consider the Surface Phone as the ultimate mobile device. It may even overtake Surface tablets for being able to make actual phone calls. It is a primarily a mobile device after all, but only on steroids.
It may boast of 64-bit Intel processor and a 21-megapixel rear-facing camera. The front-facing camera responsible for those selfies is believed to be 8-megapixel. It will be patterned after state-of-the-art technology which Nokia used on their camera phones.
There were also reports saying that the Microsoft Surface Phone could have 8GB of RAM, 512GB of internal storage and Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor. It may also come in a squared metallic design.
As added by Trusted Reviews, the Microsoft Surface Phone may also run on Windows 10 since it is the last version of Windows according to Microsoft. This means Windows 10 Mobile will not be disappearing anytime soon. It is also reported that Continuum, the cross-platform productivity feature will play a bigger role on mobile.
It is easy to understand how so many reports are coming out leading towards the release of the Microsoft Surface Phone. Reports do say that it will be one great device, even being described as the ultimate mobile device to ever have. It was first thought to make an appearance during the Microsoft event late last year but it didn't happen. The Mobile World Congress 2017 is just around the corner and many speculate that it will be announced during the event. Unfortunately, the chances of the Microsoft Surface Phone to debut is slim to none. But nobody knows, Microsoft may surprise everyone.
