This year, Porsche has revealed their all new 2017 911 Carrera GTS. A car that has been redesigned to be more powerful, faster, and better than ever.
Five different variants of 911 get the GTS treatment. It includes a rear-wheel drive Carrera, the all-wheel drive Carrera 4, the Cabrio versions of both, and the Targa 4. All equipped with a new 3.0-liter twin turbo flat six power plant that produces 450 hp and 405 lb-ft of torque.
Each GTS carries the Carrera 4 body, which measures 44 mm wider than the standard 911. A front apron that comes with a black spoiler lip lies under larger air intakes, while its front nose gets tweaks to improve the car's aerodynamics.
In addition, it comes with the standard 20-inch black wheels and a black finish on trims, including the front lip spoiler, badges, and the exhaust pipes. Taillights are tinted slightly darker, and a new trim piece that stretches between the taillights.
The new 2017 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS gets a new engine. It gained 20 hp over the last GTS. The engine comes standard with a seven-speed manual with PDK as an option. It also comes with a PASM Sport which lowers the car 10 mm compared to the regular PASM suspension.
That makes the car much quicker and handles slightly better. With PKD equipped, the car can accelerate from 0 to 60 in just 3.4 seconds, while the manual has a top speed of 193 mph.
On the inside, the new 2017 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS comes with the standard four-way power sports seats trimmed in Alcantara, a 14.1-inch sports steering wheels, and a Sports Chrono Package. The package includes an analog stopwatch, a performance display on the dash, and the Porsche Track Precision app. GTS versions also come with the top of the range navigation system and Porsche Connect Plus, which delivers a 7.0-inch touchscreen user interface and onboard Wi-Fi connectivity.
