The 2018 Jaguar XF has finally arrived. It is definitely newer and updated but with a base price that's surprisingly much cheaper than the previous models.
The 2018 Jaguar XF luxury sedan. The new XF now comes in the new base 25t trim at US$48,770.00. The base trim is powered by a 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder engine that is capable of 247 horsepower. The XF 25t is designed to bridge the gap between the 340-hp supercharged V6 35t and the 180-hp diesel 20d.
The new XF features a notable power-operated trunk that can be opened and closed with the wave of a foot thanks to sensors mounted below the bumper. The XF can come with an optional surround-view camera and a forward traffic detection feature which aims to help drivers in low-forward-visibility conditions with the use of the vehicle's front-mounted camera and corner-mounted sensors. Also available is the forward vehicle guidance which assists drivers to drive in and out of tight spaces by using the same front-mounted camera and parking sensors. The vehicle also comes with lane keeping assist.
Apart from the new 25t base trim, the XF now comes in the new 35t Portfolio Edition which is technically a limited edition trim based on the 35t Prestige. It features include 20-way power front seats, InControl Touch Pro infotainment system with a 10-inch screen, a head-up display, four-zone climate control, and a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster.
The 2018 Jaguar XF now comes in 4 trims plus the limited edition 35t Portfolio Edition. It will be made available for sale in May of this year.
The new XF was introduced along with its siblings the Jaguar F-Pace and Jaguar XE. It shares a few features with the XE such as petrol-powered engines and the new Configurable Dynamics. All three vehicles can come with a 234-horsepower 2.0-liter twin turbo four-cylinder diesel engine.
