The Phantom Family encapsulates contemporary luxury. Its signature design is complimented by modern features, with the potential to personalize it to the smallest detail. Born of the desire to build The Best Car in the World, Phantom is the result of complete creative and engineering freedom.
According to TopSpeed, Phantom VII Special Edition isn’t exactly special. Despite having a unique twin coach line with ocean-liner motifs on the front fenders and a solid silver Spirit of Ecstasy emblem, the Blue Velvet Color and the pinstripe tires are options you can order from the factory on any other model.
The cabin sports a nautical theme with outstanding details. The Powder Blue leather is extremely light in color, with the dark inserts and genuine wood elements making it almost white. The wood on the upper door panels and dashboard also have nautical motifs, while the tone-on-tone embroidery evokes the movement of the sea. The clocks have been designed to echo the style of the radio clocks that adorned big ocean liners in the early 20th century. It can express 24 time zones.
The standard Phantom comes with a 6.75-liter V-12 engine with 453 horsepower and 531 pound-feet of torque. It has eight-speed automatic transmission, enabling the car to run from 0-60mph in a little over six seconds. Top speed is estimated at 155mph. The pricing information is not available yet, but it is safe to assume that the car will cost above $600,000.
Business Insider reported that Phantom VII Final Edition is equipped with fiber-optic lights mounted inside the ceiling of the car. Its design makes it look like constellations in the sky. Every headliner is assembled by hand and tailored to the owner’s wishes. Despite being aesthetically pleasing, it is also an effective way to light the interior of the car.
The brightness of the starlight headliner can be controlled using the car’s infotainment system. Every headliner can feature anywhere between 800 and 1,600 fiber-optic lights. Every headliner is made by hand, and it can take two craftspeople up to nine hours to create by hand. The more complex designs can take up to 17 hours. The craftspeople can mimic just about any constellation the customer chooses.
