The BMW Z4 GT3 model went for a drive, and it roared with pride, impressing car enthusiasts. Recently installed with the V8 engine, the vehicle gave justice to the brand's reputation in excelling under the racing category of automobiles.
The model had been under the V6 engine feature for years despite the presence of a V8 which the brand has installed in other models for racing purposes. However, the BMW Z4 GT3 was installed with the P65B44, the racing version of the 4.4L engine found in the E92 M3 GTS model. The vehicle then drove through the track with impressive engine noise, reported Jalopnik.
In other news, Motor Sport reported that the model has officially joined the GT Asia Series. Although the vehicle's roar was impressive with the V8, the competing cars would sustain its V6 feature. As part of the AAI Motorsports team, the BMW Z4 GT3 will complete in the August Shanghai Event, a part of the Le Mans 24 Hour Championship race. In fact, the brand had been strongly associated with BMW for a series of championship cups.
Per team manager, Mitoshi Kakimoto, the drivers would race for the 2017 Team's and Driver's titles as they did before with Motorsport Asia's Asian Touring Car Series. Other than the loud model tested with the V8 engine, the BMW M6 GT3s could be joining the team along with one GT4. The team would be a group of four - two M4s, one Z4, and one GT4.
BMW has had a solid reputation on the motorsports world. In fact, in the last 12 months, it has claimed victory during the Spa 24-Hour and were the top finishers of the Bathurst 12-Hour race. The brand further claimed they're 'better in motorsports' claim when the BMW Z4 GT3 was taken out for a spin. The roar of the engine impressed auto enthusiasts proving that the automakers are the best in model quality fit for racing.
