Apple follows the headphone industry trends by making a neckband-style pair of headphones that have been popular in recent years. Some retail Apple stores across the United States have already begun receiving early stock of the Beats-branded headphones.
According to Business Insider, Apple’s new Beats headphones, the Beats X utilize their W1 low-energy wireless chip. It allows smoother pairing with IOS devices and supposedly conserves battery life.
Apple’s new Beats headphones also use Class 1 Bluetooth connection that works separately from the W1 chip. It should help maintain a steadier connection. The headphones are also capable of taking calls, and you will be able to talk to Apple’s Siri digital assistance as well. There is a built-in remote that can adjust volume and change tracks. The earphones aren’t sweatproof which makes them not ideal for working out.
Apple’s new Beats headphones have a better battery than the AirPods. The fully wireless AirPods pair can last up to 5 hours at most. The Beats X however, have more room to fit a larger battery. According to Apple, Beats X will get up to 8 hours of juice.
The Verge reported that Apple’s new Beats headphones come in a variety of colors. They can be white, black, gray and blue. Apple might announce few more color options in the future.
Beats X earbuds will also be compatible with non-Apple products like Android smartphones. The headphones can be charged via a Lightning connector, which is a departure from the microUSB plug ordinarily used by other Beats headphones.
The Flex-Form cable is designed to make Beats X rest comfortably and tangle free around the neck. They have small magnets with which they can be attached to one another when not in use. They also come with a carrying case and removable wingtips for more secure fit. Apple’s new Beats Headphones the Beats X will cost $149,95.
