Great news, this year's Google I/O has been made official. The event will take place from May 17th to 19th at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California.
Recently, Google revealed the details of the upcoming event in a very Google-y way: through an elaborate puzzle which can be seen below. The multinational technological company tweeted a cryptic link on its developer Twitter account.

The link will send viewers to a save the date page which then leads to a GitHub page. The GitHub page contained five puzzles. These puzzles will confirm all the details once it gets solved.
In a recent report, Android Police described more details of the said puzzle. According to the blog, the puzzle, which involved several geeky stuff such as coordinates and a chess board, was ultimately solved on a Discord channel.
The Discord channel was solely dedicated to solving the Google I/O puzzle. As of the moment, the official Google I/O page has yet to be updated. Nobody - except for Google's employees, supposedly - knows any details on the registration yet.
Plenty of fans worldwide are hoping Google will make an announcement regarding the details of registration soon. According to several reports, the company might use a lottery system to send out passes this year, very much like they did last year.
Many will remember that this is the second year Google has held its developer conference outdoors instead of conducting it in a private manner indoors. Last year's Google I/O had a machine learning central theme. This year's theme has yet to be revealed as well.
Google is expected to provide the would-be attending developers a quick glimpse of the Android 8 operating system. If this is the case, this will be the first public appearance of the Android 8.0 or Android O.
