Retro-Bit unveiled its new and updated Retro Cloners at this year's CES event. The lights of Super Retro Trio and Retro-Bit Generations receives high appreciation. It is evident that 2017 is the year of the "Retros," bringing back the goodies of the previous era, will fans see the N64 clone soon?
The Super Retro Trio is now HDMI ready. With that being said, picture quality will be much more improved. Therefore, retro games faithful can now enjoy super-crisp graphics for their favorite 8-bit and 16-bit retro games. The Super Retro Trio also comes with an available S-Video output for preference. The Super Retro Trio is expected to be released in May and can be purchased for $79.99.
The RES or the Retro Entertainment System is another Retro-Bit cloner. It is based on the most hard-to-get NES Classic consoles and is now HDMI ready. Fans who were unlucky spotting the Nintendo Mini NES Classic console since it is out of stock to any popular retailers can utilize the RES for the meantime. Games that are available in the NES system can be enjoyed in the RES plus it gets graphic enhancement since it runs at HMDI. The RES will be available in April for $39.99.
Another Retro-Bit creation is the Retro-Bit Generations Portable. It may sound familiar since it is based on the Retro-Bit Generations which had a lot of performance issues in the past. The Retro-Bit Generations Portable has licensed games from major publishers including Game Boy, NES, Mega Drive/Genesis, SNES, and Arcades. It will be available in July for $69.99.
Now, for the most wanted clone ever, the Nintendo 64 or popularly known as N64. The N64 competed with consoles like PlayStation and Sega Saturn. Games like Super Mario 64, Final Fantasy VII, and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time are just some of the games enjoyed from late N64.
There are reported predictions stating that Nintendo is currently making a SNES Classic Edition which aims to be released Christmas of 2017. But a lot of hopeful fans are requesting for an N64 Classic Edition perhaps. When it comes to production, recreating the N64 is not going to be that difficult for Nintendo since a lot of hobbyists are posting videos on Youtube creating their own version of N64, So probably, it's about time.
