2017 Honda Odyssey and 2017 Toyota Sienna ended up as being runners-up behind the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica. Chrysler's minivan took the top spot for being the "Best Minivan Of the Year" for 2016.
The award focused on calculating real-life fuel efficiency and need-suitability tests for all vehicles. The 2017 Chrysler Pacifica emerged almost always on top in every result. The 2017 Kia Sedona was seemed snubbed of any award from the organization.
Not long ago, Chrysler came up with the first minivan. The minivans were the go-to car for families who wants comfortable car seats for everyone, without having to break the bank.
The Pacifica's reign wasn't long, as its lead was overtaken by the Japanese minivans. Honda came up with its Odyssey armed both with performance and a top-notch design, still evident with its 2017 Honda Odyssey. Toyota released an all-wheel-drive minivan, the Sienna.
Well, it looks like Chrysler has earned its crown back. The award was concluded based on a series of test results, during Cars.com's "Ultimate Minivan Challenge."
The winner was hailed as the "Best Minivan of The Year." Perhaps Chrysler's innovation for its 2017 minivan has helped snagged the award. Not far from acing the test result was the 2017 Toyota Sienna.
The magazine's editor-in-chief, Patrick Olsen have disclosed that "The Chrysler Pacifica out-styles, out-drives and just plain out-wows the rest of the pack." He further added, "It is a true joy to drive something not often used to describe a minivan," PR Newswire reported.
The 2017 Pacifica seamlessly balances bold designs, functionality, performance and technology. It perfectly matches what Cars.com is looking for in a minivan.
Olsen has been quoted to say, "Behind the engine, the van is versatile and packed with impressive family-friendly features," as he referred to the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica.
Olsen's last statement may have some confused. One may wonder, then why did the 2017 Honda Odyssey's predecessor get the "Best Car for Big Families" award?
These top-notch compact vans are undoubtedly winners in each of their own fields. It is also a matter of being the right match for a prospect buyer's needs.
The 2017 Toyota Sienna remains the powerful being an all-wheel-drive with 296 horsepower. Not far behind, the 2017 Kia Sedona has always been the best alternative if a buyer is after a lesser price tag.
If one is after both design and performance, the 2017 Honda Odyssey could very well be the best bet.
