Annually, online magazines award the best cars for different segments. It won't be fair to pit a sedan against and SUVs. There are different appropriate categories for each award.
Now, drum roll, please. The "Best Mid-Size Sedan" award went to the 2016 Chevrolet Malibu. The 2016 Honda Civic got the "Best New Compact Sedan" award.
Moving on to the SUVs. 2016 Honda HR-V got the "Best New Subcompact SUV." The 2016 Kia Sorento bagged the "Best New Midsize SUV." It is now the turn of the hybrids. The "Best New Hybrid" was taken by the 2016 Toyota Prius.
Let's move back to the SUVs. The "Best New Luxury SUV" was snagged by the 2016 Volvo XC90. This one made Mercedes-Benz run for its money. It's now the truck's turn to have the spotlight. The 2016 Nissan Titan was the "Pickup Truck of The Year."
2016 Nissan Rogue was crowned as the "Family Car of the Year." The BMW M2351 got the "Play Car of The Year." Whereas not to be left out, its European rival took home the "Luxury Car of The Year" for the Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class.
Not to be left out, the green cars were awarded as well. The "Eco-Friendly Car of The Year" was awarded to the 2016 Toyota Prius C. The spacious eight-seater 2016 Honda Odyssey was the choice for the "Best Car for Big Families." Its brother the Honda Fit took home the "Best Deal for Small Families" recognition.
The noveaux drivers should take cue which car took home the "Best Car for First-Time Drivers" trophy. This one went to the 2016 Subaru Impreza. Off-road enthusiasts should not fret as they are not forgotten. The "Best Car for Off-Roaders" was awarded to Land Rover's Range Rover.
These awards should just serve as a guide and not a sole basis for prospect buyers. However, this should taper down the list to a select few and make a buyer's search easier.
