Hyundai just announced the price and addition of the 2017 Hyundai Elantra. The Elantra will complete Hyundai's sedan lineup. It sports an angular sporty design that won't burn buyer's pockets. A pimped out version is currently on display at the SEMA Car Show in Las Vegas.
Hyundai's Elantra comes with a 1.6 liter GDI turbo engine. This will mean a 201 horsepower output and torque of about 195LB-ft. An obvious upgrade from its previous edition which only has 147 horsepower. The Elantra Sport has a signature multi-link suspension rear, revised steering, higher spring and damper rates. It also has an exclusive upgraded brakes with 18-inch alloy mag wheels.
Hyundai has been among the user-friendly cars to date. Its cars' price tag offers budget-friendly rates. The price for the 2017 Elantra Sport starts at around $21,650, exclusive of destination fees, according to PR Newswire.
There is a Premium Package option. It is available for an additional $2,400. It will basically include an eight-inch navigation system, Blue Link connectivity, a power sunroof, Blind Spot detection, Rear Cross-traffic Alert and Land Change Assistance.
The Blue Link system is simply the term for the enhanced, safety, service and infotainment system. During winter it offers a temperature control system, auto dimming for the rearview and a compass. It is also HomeLink capable, with the 8-soeaker Infinity premium audio system. The Clari-Fi Music restoration technology completes the infotainment set-up.
An important feature to highlight includes the iPhone USB and auxiliary input jacks. The sports sedan is Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatible. Next year's Elantra edition also has a SiriusXM satellite radio.
Hyundai Motors was proud to announce that their 2017 Hyundai Elantra got a recognition. The Korean compact-car was included under "Wards 10 Best User Experience (UX) list." The Elantra was recognized for its "Aesthetic, Ergonomic and Design Aspects."
Apart from receiving awards, Hyundai cars are currently busy participating in this year's SEMA Car Show. It has a concept Elantra on display during the exhibit. Their 2017 Hyundai Rockstar Santa Fe was a show-stopper.
Hyundai cars may be more affordable than most cars. However, affordable doesn't mean cheap. The Korea-based automaker is truly a formidable contender in its industry.
