The Looks
At first, it is thought that the 2018 Lamborghini Urus will be based aesthetically on its brothers, the Huracan and the Aventador. But all the teaser photos coming from the factory of Lamborghini in Sant'Agata Bolognese as well as spy shots reveal that the new design will awesomely look good. Stefano Domenicali, CEO of Lamborghini, said in an interview that passers-by would not be able to take their eyes of the Urus when they see it.
With its look, the Urus is said to give a hard time for competitors such as Maserati Levante or Bentley Bentayga
The Engine
In mechanical terms, the rumors are diverse and varied. First, there were talks of the vehicle's Hurricane V10 engine. Later, a plug-in hybrid version, both would total 600 CV as reports said. Now it is confirmed that the supercharged V8 four-liter will be use and the Urus would be the first V8 engine in the range that can give an output of more than 600 hp. This would have a transmission torque converter, which from Lamborghini, say it is the only gearbox that can provide levels of torque required for a vehicle of this type.
New Showroom For The Urus
The Lamborghini Urus is so special that showrooms are renovated for its arrival. Bristol was the first showroom to be overhauled and it provides a new corporate identity that aims to make the brand more approachable. It has slightly softer colours all around and a “less intimidating” atmosphere.
“There’s a challenge for us in a different kind of use: today we have an average of between 4-5,000km per year of mileage with the super sports cars (Aventador and Huracán), but we think [with the Urus SUV] there will be an average of 15,000km per year. This means the service profile will be completely different: waiting times, services, reliability and so forth. We’ll have a completely different profile of use, which means we need to ready our showrooms.” he added.
The Lamborghini Urus aims to double Lamborghini's production from 2,500 units a year to more than 5000 when it goes on sale. The priority markets will be China, USA, Middle East, Germany and the UK.
