The 2018 Jeep Compass has been caught without camouflage for a few photos in Sao Paulo, Brazil after a private official photo shoot for the cars presentation and subsequent advertising campaign. The future Jeep Compass will be mounted on the Small Wide platform and is expected to rival the Honda CR-V.

Bearing The Compass Name
It is no coincidence that the 2018 Jeep Compass was spied in Brazil as it will the venue for its official debut later this month or early October and will likely be seen in the US at Los Angeles Auto Show on November. Then the Jeep Compass will hit the market early next year.
Early reports say that the FCA group is still unsure on what name to give this mini SUV. The company is choosing either Compass or Patriot and it seems that Compass was now chosen because it is more familiar to buyers around the globe.The images under the light of day without camouflage also clearly shows that Compass was the chosen name as it is plastered on the flanks of the vehicle as well as on the side of the doors.
All About The Compass
The exterior of the new Jeep Compass looks like a 'baby Grand Cherokee'. Aesthetically it is a very interesting product because it keeps intact all the powerful image of a Jeep but encapsulated it in a smaller, more versatile product with exclusive elements such as contrast black roof and chrome on both the grill and the rest of the body.
It is also confirm that the 2018 Jeep Compass will be using jeep Renagade platform having the same engines, transmissions and other items. This means that the Compass will come with front wheel drive, but with an option of an all -wheel drive and will receive 2.0 liter petrol and diesel engine option where in the petrol can reach 160 hp and the diesel at 170hp. Transmission options include 9 speed auto or a 6 speed manual.
Interiors are still a closely guarded secret but sources say that it will feature soft touch materials large TFT screen in the center, chrome inserts, etc. Hopefully will soon know all the details including the Jeep Compass price and release date. We are excited for this one!
