The wait is over! The 2017 Nissan Micra is set to arrived sooner than you expected in order to boost sales of the once top selling model of the company. It will make its public debut at the Paris Motor Show and is set for production at the start of 2017.
The first spy photos of the Micra caught undergoing testing in Spain also surfaced ahead of its debut. Even with a heavy camouflage, one can tell that the curvy design of the new Micra is reminiscent of the Nissan Sway concept. The body looks sportier now, with a more aggressive front and handles of the rear doors that make sit look like a coupe.
We expect that the next-generation Nissan Micra will attract more people than the previous Micra version.
A More Sporty Micra
The new Micra, which will be manufactured at the Renault plant at Flins (France), will arrive on the new CMF-B platform, but will share some elements with the CPM-A that will mount the next Nissan Juke. This means that the car will be sportier with a straighter front, extreme angles and pointy corners that is set to impress.
But what will attract you the most about the 2017 Nissan Micra is its behind. It will have a more muscular and sharp bumper and a small-sized optical placed horizontally. Similarly, the rear window will be steeper and the profile will be cleaner thanks to the rear door handles hidden in the pillar C for the perfect finish.
The new Micra is likely to be longer, lower and wider too than the outgoing model, to give more space inside. All these designs will remind people of prototypes presented by the brand before such as the Nissan Pulsar and the Sway concept as well as the new generation Nissan Juke that we Nissan is said to unveiled later on october.
Paris Motor Show Gate Crasher
As they say, it seems that the new Nissan Micra will be presented at the upcoming Paris Motor Show, which will happen in a few days. It is not yet confirmed but all signs are pointing into it.
Nothing has been said yet about the engines under the hood of the 2017 Nissan Micra, but is believed to have a mechanical one liter and 1.6 liter turbo in petrol. It is also likely to be a super-frugal 1.5-litre diesel, while a hot 190bhp 1.6 litre turbocharged petrol could also emerge.
One thing is certain is that the 2017 Nissan micra will be unveiled soon. One should expect a price hike from the current model with all the changes that has been seen so far and that with these changes, the Micra can compete with the likes of the Kia Rio and the Citroen C3.
