The new 2017 Nissan Micra is now available in the showrooms. Nissan has posted the details of the new hatchback with heaps of options for customization.

Nissan CEO Carlos Ghosn claimed that the new hatchback will "raise expectations" on the capacity of a supermini. Ghosn also shared that the new Micra defines the company's intention to dominate the B-segment market in Europe, which is the largest and most challenging B-segment market around the globe.
The new Micra is now being offered with three engine options. It also comes in five trim level options.
Buyers can choose from the 1.5-liter dCi four-cylinder diesel engine that can deliver 89bhp and 220Nm of torque. Nissan claims the new hatchback can reach 0 to 62mph in 11.9 seconds.
Another engine option is the standard 1.0-liter naturally aspirated three-cylinder petrol engine that can deliver 71bhp and 95Nm of torque. It can reach 0 to 62mph in 16.4 seconds.
The other engine option is the 0.9-liter turbo three-cylinder petrol engine that can deliver 89bhp and 150Nm of torque. It can accelerate to 62mph in 12 seconds.
In terms of trim levels, the 2017 Nissan Micra is being offered in Visia, Visia+, Acenta, N-Connecta and Tekna. The base level comes with $15,600 (£11,995) price tag, and can rise up to $22,600 (£17,435).
The new Micra Visia features an audio system with two front speakers, Bluetooth compatible audio, 15-inch steel wheels, six airbags, door mirrors with turn indicator, Intelligent Emergency Braking with Pedestrian detection, Lane Departure Warning and Intelligent Lane Intervention. This trim level has $15,600 (£11,995) price tag.
The Micra Visia+ comes cooler with the same features of Visia trim level with additional features. Manual air conditioning and stop/start technology have been added to the model, which raised the price tag to $16,800 (£12,945).
For the Micra Acenta, a perfect balance in design and latest technology advancements have been considered. Adding to the Visia+ model, this trim level comes with 16-inch steel wheels, door handles that match the body color, 7-inch touchscreen display audio, cruise control, Advance Drive Assist Display with 5-inch TFT colored screen, App integration and Apple CarPlay. All these features for a fee of $18,360 (£14,145)
The fourth upgrade, Micra N-Connecta, offers superior driving comfort for $20,900 (£16,115). It comes with the Acenta features plus rear privacy glass, leather steering wheel, electrically folding heated door mirrors with LED turn indicator, automatic air conditioning, 16-inch alloy wheels, Nissan Connect Touchscreen Navigation and Entertainment System.
Furthermore, the fifth trim level comes with high technology advancements for improved driving experience for $22,600 (£17,435). In addition to the N-Connecta features, the new 2017 Micra Tekna model has bigger 17-inch alloy wheels, leather wrapped gear knob with silver decoration, rear view camera with rear parking sensors, 3 adjustable rear headrests, BOSE Personal audio pack with two driver headrest speakers, Nissan Intelligent Key and Start push button.
