In the age of mobile phones, PC's are often out of place nowadays. People are always on the go and what we need is a gadget that functions as a computer but something that you can carry around, anywhere. Thus, tablets are born.
Various companies launched their own lines of tablets to give suit the need of people-on-go, but it seems that it still lacks a lot of things and are far from expectations that people have imagined.
These companies are aware of this concerns which sparked the concept of The Courier from Microsoft, that unfortunately never made it out in the market.
So what is the ideal tablet? Thin, sleek, a tablet where you can type, touch and write. And so after some years of planning, Lenovo has taken this ideal features into consideration and developed the Yoga Book.
The Yoga Book comes in the size like of a hardcover children's book, two panels connected by a hinge, the other panel being a full-touch tablet and the other panel that acts as a digital writing pad that also switches into a keyboard.
But what's more to the Yoga Book is that you can write using real ink and have it digitized. Lenovo just made a tablet on the go--and more.
This tablet comes in two versions: Android and Windows 10. The Android version sells for $499 while the Windows 10 version $50 more than the latter.
Jeff Meredith, Vice President of Lenovo's Android Chrome Computing Business Group said that this tablet that took 3 years to develop is inspired and liken to a children's book, Dr. Seuss' The Cat in the Hat specifically. They want it to appear thin and light, just like the book.
The said target market of this product are people in the business industry and students. But this is also made for artists, bloggers and people who are always on the go. Definitely, this can change the course of using tablets and taking it to the next level!
Lenovo Yoga Book is set to go out in stores this October 2016. Until then, we won't know if this tablet is indeed the gadget of the future.
