Former model turned lady racer and mother of one, Carina Lima owning the very first Koenigsegg One:1 sure makes for a very interesting phenomenon, more so given the extreme rarity of the vehicle as well. Bearing chassis number #106, the car has recently been spotted around in Monaco with Carina behind the wheels.
If that's isn't enough, the chassis #106 also served to be the car that the company had been using for testing and developmental purposes, before freezing the spec sheet to be followed by the remaining six of the production versions of the Koenigsegg One:1. So with just six of these ever to be made, owning one and that too the very first examples of it is special indeed. Carina's car also happens to be the one that was exhibited at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, MotorAuthority claimed.
For those who need to be reminded, the Koenigsegg One:1 comes with a power-to-weight ratio of 1:1, a first for any car ever to be produced on mother earth. To put that in figures, the car that tips the scales at 1360 kilogram also produces 1360 hp from the 5.0-liter, twin-turbo V8 that it is equipped with.
Run times available easily corroborate to the Koenigsegg One:1's status of being the fastest car ever to be produced, with the 0 to 186 mph speed mark breached in just 11.9 seconds. Nurburgring lap times aren't available following the unexpected crash of the car used in the attempt, something that has later been attributed to a defective front anti-lock braking sensor.
According to Motor1, the Koenigsegg One:1, chassis #106 was earlier found listed at Super Venttura's site, the only Koenigsegg agent in the UK. Price quoted then has been an insane $6 million though interestingly enough; the car continues to be listed on their site.
Carina described her feelings of the Koenigsegg One:1 as 'amazing,' one that requires a lot of 'care, passion, love.' Carina also isn't new to high speed driving having already driven the Koenigsegg Agera R. She has been into motorsport since 2012 and off late, races in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe series.
