Mercedes-Benz has shot off a new teaser image of the upcoming Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 Concept, this time depicting the full frontal view of the ultra-luxurious coupe. The latest view compliments the earlier teaser image released a week back that showed the side profile of the car.
From what is evident right away with the newest teaser is the wide mouthed grille comprising of 25 vertical chrome slats. In fact, the grill seems even more highlighted thanks to the slim headlights on either side.
The 'MayBach' badge is accommodated along the top edge of the grille while the usual three pointed star Mercedes Logo sitting right on top of it, just on the edge of the expansive bonnet. The Maybach logo, as revealed in the earlier teaser sits on top of the rear pillar.
The latest teaser also reveals the lack of the side view mirrors of the kind we have been used to so far. Instead, the slim structures seem to be equipped with cameras with the views likely projected on the driver's field of vision. Everything else including fog lamps or the likes of it seems obscure at the moment.
However, the latest teaser coupled with the earlier shots revealed a week back points to a coupe of gargantuan proportions. According to MotorAuthority, the '6' in the naming actually refers to the 6-meters that the car measures in length. That sure makes for a lot of coupe and is about a feet more than the current Mercedes-Maybach S600.
Meanwhile, sitting underneath the massive hood could be the same 6.0-liter twin-turbo V-12 engine that powers the Mercedes-Maybach S600 sedan, Andrew Ganz of MotorAuthority speculated. That said, new advanced hybrid engine options can't be ruled out either, as CarScoops claimed.
Official unveiling is slated next weeks on August 21 at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance in California.
