The Mazda6 sedan and CX-5 sport-utility vehicle are hardly aging in the Japanese automaker's lineup, but they received respective refreshes at the Los Angeles auto show.
What are they?
The updates to the Mazda6 and CX-5 are mid-cycle updates, which comprise changes to content and styling without major updates to the chassis or the overall vehicle. Most of all, the subtle updates mean that the characteristics we like about the sedan and cute-ute are staying the same.
What's new or changed?
The big news for both refreshed models isn't related to powertrain or chassis, but in-car technology and entertainment enhancements. Both the CX-5 and Mazda6 will now benefit from Mazda's excellent infotainment interface, Mazda Connect. Beyond the interior upgrade, there are subtle changes to the front and rear fasciae of both vehicles. We're chuffed that the excellent 6-speed manual transmissions in both vehicles will remain.
Can I buy them?
Indeed you can, once the mid-cycle refresh models hit the showrooms not long from now.
