Being part of a royal family has its perks--and its prices.
Kate Middleton's wardrobe choices on an upcoming tour will reportedly be outlined by the Queen herself, according to royal correspondent Katie Nicholl reporting in the Mail on Sunday.
The Queen's orders regarding the Duchess of Cambridge's style will focus on longer hemlines, royal jewels and plenty of tiaras, according to a Vanity Fair blog post on Yahoo Shine.
Mail described the style change-up as a "subtle but significant regal makeover" that will involve day dresses with "lower hemlines" than Kate usually dons.
Along with more stately couture dresses, Kate will be "encouraged to wear the tiaras favored by the Queen and Queen Mother" and also to select "statement jewelry and gemstones from the Queen's personal collection."
Kate's personal hairdresser, Amanda Cook Tucker, will reportedly join the Duchess of Cambridge on the April tour of Australia.
Tucker should be prepared to fulfill the Queen's wishes when it comes to Kate and tiaras since has recently "undergone training in the art of attaching a tiara."
Already famous for her style, Kate will be "more Royal than ever," with the "Queen . . . watching closely" after the ordered fashion changes, Vanity Fair reported.
Kate's headline-making wardrobe was earlier the subject of royal rebuke when Prince Charles took over Kate and Prince William's press office, according to the Daily Beast.
The report came soon after the announcement that Charles would begin overseeing the Queen's press operations, and the change sparked buzz as to whether Charles was jealous of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's media profiles.
Taking on William and Kate's press office is reportedly part of a larger scheme to bring attention to the more serious issues Charles is looking to promote.
The Daily Beast noted, "it appears that he is not delaying in his attempts to shift the national discussion away from Kate Middleton's clothing choices and onto his more weighty pet subjects."
