Porsche confirmed this week that they will be showcasing their new 2014 Cayman sports car for the first time next week at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

Details for the new vehicle will be released next week at the Auto Show, but experts say to expect the new Cayman to have somewhere between 275 to 325 horsepower from a 2.7 liter, six-cylinder engine according to The Los Angeles Times.

"The more powerful Cayman S will likely have a 3.4-liter, six-cylinder engine very similar to the one in the base 911 Carrera," said The Los Angeles Times in a recent early review of the car. "Expect it to produce around 325 horsepower in the 2014 Cayman S."

Pricing for the new vehicle has also yet to be revealed, but it should fall somewhere between the price for the current Boxster vehicle which goes for $54,000 and the expensive Cayman S which is $64,000. Most experts believe the car's base price will be closer to the S model considering the new technology the car is expected to come with.  

Porsche will also be showcasing the new 911 Carrera 4 and 4S at the LA Auto Show the company announced recently.

The two versions of the Carrera will come available in either coupe or convertible options with all-wheel drive.  

The company has a long history with the LA Auto Show as they have revealed critically acclaimed cars like the Boxster Spyder, Cayman R and Panamera GTS at the past three Auto Shows.

The LA Auto Show begins on Nov. 30 and runs until Dec. 9. For more information on the event, click here to view the show's homepage.
