It's now been over a week since the Chronic Dev team was able to accomplish a partial untethered jailbreak for the iPhone 4S and iPhone 5 but still users can't completely jailbreak their Apple devices.
The fact that the Dev team hasn't been able to accomplish a complete jailbreak yet is a bad sign for owners of the Apple devices as the team could soon decide to just stop spending all their efforts on the jailbreak and instead focus on bigger plans.

Earlier this week, it was reported Dev team member Joshua Hill may have already stopped working on the jailbreak already. A co-worker of Hill's said that despite coming so close to the jailbreak just last week, he was ready to move on to "better things."
The "better things" that the co-worker could have been talking about could include software for new devices like the unreleased iPhone 5S, but only time will tell if this is the case. Apple users are praying that this isn't true however, as Hill is probably the best chance millions of users have to achieving a jailbreak for the two Apple phones.
Other devices people have been looking to jailbreak include the iPod Touch 5G, the iPad 4, and the newly released iPad Mini.
There are other teams working on the jailbreak as well, but a good amount of them have just turned out to be scam websites looking to rob people out of their money.
Here is a list of websites that have been reported to the Dev team and the International Digital Times as being duds:
Absinthe/Greenpois0n
DreamBoard
iDreamBoard
greenpois0nblog.blogspot.com/
JHerthop.com
Most of the listed websites are just looking for money like JHerthop which was asking for as much as $600 before it was reported. Users need to make sure they do their homework before installing anything to their phone, but when it comes to jailbreaking your phone don't even bother with any site that claims a jailbreak right now.
An untethered jailbreak has not been achieved yet, despite what a certain site may say. Considering most phone stores will void any warranty you purchased when getting your Apple device if you do jailbreak your phone, you'll then be left trying to fix the phone yourself. Waiting until either the Dev team or someone else reliable has achieved the jailbreak overall will save you time and money even if it means living without having total control over your phone for a little longer.
