Toyota has announced pricing for a special Toyota Tundra pickup truck package that showcases the automaker's first retail vehicle collaboration with Bass Pro Shops.
The 2015 Toyota Tundra Bass Pro Shops Off-Road Edition starts at $45,075, which includes $1,100 in shipping fees, Edmunds.com reported. The special truck costs quite a bit more than the base 2015 Toyota Tundra, which starts at $30,120 with shipping.
Starting in October, the special edition truck package will be exclusively available at Toyota dealerships in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma and Texas. The Off-Road Edition will be offered in the Gulf States region, where "pick-up trucks and being outdoors are a natural way of life," Marty Collins, president and general manager of Gulf States Toyota, said in a statement.
The truck package, which will only be sold in silver, is built on a 4x4 CrewMax SR5 configuration and runs on a 381-horsepower 5.7-liter V8 engine paired with a six-speed automatic transmission.
The Toyota Tundra Off-Road Edition features "20-inch milled-matte black wheels, Bass Pro Shops Off-Road decals, 5-inch oval black step tubes, a spray-on bedliner, pocketed fender flares and a stainless steel exhaust tip," Edmunds reported via Toyota.
Car fans who purchase the Off-Road Edition also get their choice of a hunting, camping, fishing or marine package of outdoor gear. Selected by Bass Pro Shops' experts, the packages are valued at $1,100 apiece.
"Bass Pro Shops and Toyota both have a great track record of helping people make the most of their outdoor adventures," John Paul Morris, general manager of the Bass Pro Shops online store, said in a statement. "Bringing these two companies together means outdoor enthusiasts get a truck that can tackle everything from the toughest trail to towing your boat to the lake, all while providing a comfortable ride."
