The new 2016 Fiat 500X is being teased in a brand-new YouTube video released today by Fiat Chrysler Automobiles.
Though the small crossover isn't scheduled to reach U.S. dealerships until next year, it seems the automaker wants people to get excited a lot earlier than that.
The 39-second YouTube video shows a stretched Fiat with a raked windshield, round headlights, and roof spoiler.
Pricing and powertrain options have not been announced yet by the automaker.
No specifications have been released yet either for the 500X, which could be unveiled as early as the 2014 Paris Auto Show.
To have a chance at creating a legitimate sales volume, the new vehicle will have to be priced between the $20,045 500L and the $23,600 Mini Countryman.
The 500X will reportedly use Fiat Group's Small Wide platform that underpins the Fiat 500L and Jeep Renegade, according to Car and Driver.
The vehicle is expected to compete against similar vehicles like the Mini Cooper Countryman, Scion xB, Kia Soul, and Nissan Juke.
