CNBC will premiere "Jay Leno's Garage: The Ultimate Car Week" on Sunday, Aug. 31 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
The special, which is based on Leno's Emmy-winning web series "Jay Leno's Garage," will take viewers into the heart of Monterey Week, according to a CNBC press release.
Leno, a legendary comedian and one of the biggest car collectors in America, will provide a unique perspective on the business and sport of cars and car collecting, which culminates every year at Pebble Beach's Concours d'Elegance.
Pebble Beach features over 200 of the world's most prized collectible vehicles.
For the special, besides looking for vintage cars, Leno gets an exclusive look at a number of new vehicles, and visits Laguna Seca racetrack, where he becomes the first person to drive the new 2015 Corvette Z06, according to the release.
"Jay Leno's Garage: The Ultimate Car Week" is produced for CNBC by Open 4 Business Productions in association with Big Dog Productions.
Leno and Todd Mesirow are the executive producers for the special.
The former Tonight Show host owns approximately 886 vehicles, including 769 cars, according to his website "Jay Leno's Garage."
