Organizers of the Connected Car Expo have announced that futurist and business strategist Peter Schwartz will deliver the keynote presentation of this year's conference.
The conference is scheduled to take place on Nov. 18.
Schwartz, considered an authority on future planning, will share his insights on the changing world of connected car technology and the effects of connectivity across a number of different global industries.
CCE is a three-day expo with a one-day conference that takes place at the Los Angeles Convention Center in conjunction with Los Angeles Auto Show Press & Trade Days on Nov. 18-20.
The event is organized by ANSA Productions, creators of the LA Auto Show.
Schwartz co-authored the Pentagon's "An Abrupt Climate Change Scenario and Its Implications for United States National Security" and also ran scenario planning for the Royal Dutch/Shell Group of Companies in London.
Schwartz was also a script consultant on the film "The Minority Report," where he worked alongside director Steven Spielberg to create a believable connected city with autonomous transportation and other futuristic depictions.
Since then, many of Schwartz's predictions shown in the movie have come to fruition.
Schwartz will discuss lessons learned since The Minority Report, while sharing his latest forecasts at the Connected Car Expo.
Currently, Schwartz is the Senior Vice President for Global Government Relations and Strategic Planning at Salesforce.com. Schwartz directs policy and politics throughout the world and manages the organization's ongoing strategic conversation.
The LA Auto Show and CCE will be announcing additional details over the next few months, including session topics and leading industry participants.
