General Motors is recalling over 14,000 2014 Buick LaCrosse sedans because a wiring splice in the driver's door could corrode and break.
The issue could lead to some vehicle functions turning on when the vehicle is off and the driver is not in the vehicle, according to the automaker.
Dealers are being told to inspect the driver door window motor harness.
If necessary, dealers will replace an electrical splice. All repairs will be made free of charge.
GM said it is unaware of any thefts, crashes, injuries or fatalities related to the problem.
"A wiring splice in the driver's door may corrode and break," GM said in a statement regarding the recall. "That may communicate incorrect information to circuits that control the door chime and allow passenger windows, rear windows and the sunroof to function when the vehicle is turned off and the driver is not in the vehicle."
Approximately 14,765 vehicles are involved in the recall.
Additionally, a chime won't sound when the driver's door is opened if the key is in the ignition, according to GM.
The recall is part of a larger GM recall of four vehicles announced by the automaker on June 13.
The larger recall covers approximately 581,367 vehicles.
